Track Pad Pancake Breakfast
Cpl Kyle Meaney
On January 15th 2016, the track pad opened its doors to all Strathonas, hosting its first but not last breakfast for the troops. For only $2.50, guest were able to buy themselves a plate of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and toast…a steal of a deal. All of that came with a complimentary cup coffee to wash it all down. This was made possible with the help of the regimental cooks, our squadron Sergeants Major and of course, the help provided by a few volunteers like Cpl. Tyler Hogan cooking up some bacon and Cpl. Dave Young flipping tasty pancakes to name a few.
We the Board of Directors of the Track Pad would like to thank everyone that came over to the track pad that cold morning. We are pleased to see that all the hard work had paid off. About 150 people ranging from the rank of trooper all away up to the CO & RSM enjoyed that morning’s breakfast. It is good to see everyone coming together to really help keep the Track Pad rolling in the right direction. In conclusion, with the support of the troopers, corporals and the entirety of the regiment, we will see the Track Pad moving towards many new and exciting events in the near future. From the Board of Directors to everyone who made this all possible, TANKS for coming out. Perseverance.
