Chief Warrant Officer D.A. Ross, CD
Regimental Sergeant Major, 2006-2008
CWO Ross joined the Regiment in December of 1975, having completed recruit school at CFRD Cornwallis and served his first tour of Regimental duty in B Sqn. He remained at the Regiment in Calgary until June of 1978 at which time he served his first of several stints at CTC Gagetown.
CWO Ross’s various extra Regimental employed duties include CTC Gagetown, Armour School, Training Support Squadron from 1978-1983, CRFC Calgary, 1986-1988 and CTC Gagetown, Armour School, Tactics Squadron, 1993-1996.
From 1996 till 2004 CWO Ross served in various capacities at the Regiment that included Squadron Quarter Master Sergeant HQ Sqn, Regimental Operation Warrant Officer, Squadron Sergeant Major B Sqn and HQ Sqn and Technical Quarter Master Sergeant. During this time CWO Ross also deployed on Operation Palladium Roto 1 as Squadron Quarter Master Sergeant HQ Sqn, and Roto 7 as Squadron Sergeant Major Recce Squadron with the 2 PPCLI Battle Group.
In Sept of 2004 CWO Ross returned to CTC Gagetown for a third time, to serve at the Tactics School as the Standards CWO. He remained there until 2006.
In Jul of 2006 CWO Ross was appointed as the RSM with the Regiment and served in that capacity until 2008.
CWO Ross has 3 children, Bobbie-Jo, Adam and Michael. He is married to Terri MacDonald of Edmonton Alberta. |
